Young Black Femmes in San Francisco creates opportunities for Black femmes to connect through thoughtfully curated experiences rooted in joy, creativity, wellness, culture, and collective care.
We believe meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging emerge when people are given opportunities to show up authentically, share experiences, and return to one another over time.
We gather in many ways — exploring a museum, catching a baseball game, learning self-defense, or sitting in quiet reflection.
Each experience is an invitation to connect, build trust, and feel part of something bigger.
Young Black Femmes in San Francisco is centered on Black femmes, women, and gender expansive people.
We use the term “femmes” as an expansive community term that reflects our roots while honoring the many ways people experience and express femininity.
Meaningful community doesn’t happen because people live in the same city. It happens because people intentionally create opportunities to gather, care for one another, and build trust over time.
Young Black Femmes in San Francisco exists to make those opportunities possible.
“Where in my body am I still carrying last week? What does it need from me today?”
Sit with this →I am allowed to take up space softly. My rest is a gift to my community.
Pieces of a year well-gathered.
Small proof that softness lives here — picnics in the park, self-care afternoons, slow walks through the city.

Come exhale with us.
Find your next gathering or reach out — we'd love to meet you.
