Healing

Soft, intentional spaces to rest your nervous system and return to yourself.

Joy

Pleasure as practice — laughter, beauty, food, art, movement, slow afternoons.

Connection

Real friendships, in real rooms, with people who feel like home.

What we believe

Young Black Femmes in San Francisco believes that when Black femmes, women, and gender expansive people have consistent access to healing-centered community spaces, they build meaningful relationships, strengthen support networks, deepen their sense of belonging, and contribute to a more connected and resilient community.

Who we center

Young Black Femmes in San Francisco is centered on Black femmes, women, and gender expansive people. We use the term “femmes” as an expansive community term that reflects our roots while honoring the many ways people experience and express femininity, rather than limiting our community to any one specific gender identity.

Prompt of the week

“Where in my body am I still carrying last week? What does it need from me today?”

This week’s affirmation

I am allowed to take up space softly. My rest is a gift to my community.

Moments together

Pieces of a year well-gathered.

Picnics in the park, self-care afternoons, slow walks through the city — small proof that softness lives here.
